Bulgaria's largest ski resort has benefitted from extensive investment and is the focus of major development

At 2,915 metres in the Pirin Mountain range, Bansko enjoys a superb alpine location and is a popular ski resort. Frenzied development around the pretty old town centre has had a negative impact on the area, although there is a huge range of keenly priced new and off-plan property. There are also older houses in the surrounding villages.
