With its excellent beaches and facilities, Alanya's has attracted many overseas buyers

Alanya is one of the largest resorts on the Turkish Mediterranean coast and has excellent leisure facilities and a wide choice of restaurants, bars and clubs. The town has grown rapidly in the last 15 years and there are more than 9,000 foreign residents living in the area.

Attracted by the warm climate, many retirees over-winter in the resort, with families and younger buyers attracted by the beaches and entertainment in summer.

The recent announcement of the opening of Gazipasa airport, 30 km east of the resort, promises to cut transfer times after landing to 15 minutes, instead of the current 90 minutes from Antalya airport. Estate agents expect this to have a positive effect on the local market.
