Government cash for central heating
11 November 2007
Estate agents Savills has identified a poke of cash, which is literally burning a hole in the Scottish Executive’s pocket.
Dubbed very simply ‘the Central Heating Grant Scheme’, the Government is searching for pensioners, who must own their home or have been a tenant for the past 12-months; who do not have a central heating system or their existing system must be beyond repair.
In the event, for those who comply, the Executive is prepared to stump up a maximum of £3,500 for the installation of a new central heating system as well as improving insulation of the property.
